What Cats and Kittens Love to Eat!
Country Mix Salad Bowls are one of our most
popular growing kits.
 Salad Bowls are a fun-to-grow, pesticide free,
special mixture of organic seeds that grow into a tasty treat
that your cat or kitten can enjoy any time.
Organic greens will help satisfy your cat's
natural cravings for grass.
The kit contains a mixture of about 25% flax,
25% barley and 50% wheat.
The containers are reusable! All you do is
replace the soil and seeds. (Organic soil can be purchased from
your local nursery or home improvement store.)
The idea with this kit is to always have fresh grass available for
your kitty. This is accomplished by starting a bowl and then about 5 to
8 days later start the other one. When the first bowl of grass starts to get
long and stringy empty the contents, refill the bowl with new soil and new grass seed.
Grass typically matures and dies in about 15 to 20 days.

What is a Side Salad™?
Kitty lovers from all over the
United States have asked us to develop an even
easier-to-grow, self-contained growing kit.
You asked, we listened!
Growing a Side Salad is as easy as cutting off the top of the bag,
adding the seeds
and sprinkling with water. It grows anywhere and at any time of the year.
Made mostly of paper with just a hint of plastic lining.
The Side Salad is our newest
green product. People asked and we
listened. Say bye, by to plastic bowls.
The Side Salad is a self contained growing kit.
It includes everything that you need to grow
kitty grass.
Side Salad Growing Instructions:
Cut off top of bag below the
zipper seal. Remove packet of seeds.
Gently spread the base of the packet so that it
stands up on its own. Set aside
approximately one to two tablespoons of soil for
use later. Sprinkle entire seed packet on
top of the soil that is in the bag. Use
remainder of the soil to cover the seeds and
press down gently. Moisten with water,
being careful not to over water. Set in a
sunny, warm spot. Seeds germinate in 5-7
days. When they reach 3-4 inches high,
offer to kitty.
Grass matures in 2-3 weeks.
Palatability and your cat's interest decreases
as plants mature. Keep plenty of Side
Salads on hand, so you'll always have fresh
organic grass growing for the one you truly
love!

Purchase just the seeds and plant them in whatever container you choose.
Just make sure the soil or growing medium is pesticide free and free of other contaminants that may be harmful to kitty.
Keep extra seeds on hand! You will need to replant or you
might want to stagger plantings so kitty always has fresh grass available.

It can easily grow in a coffee cup and
for the more aggressive grass eaters, a
4 to 6" pot is best.

Grow Your Own Seeds Using Your Own Pots
How to grow your own natural grass
using our natural grass seeds. Each bag contains
one half pound of organic seed.
Directions about how to grow your own Kitty
Grass from seeds:
- Use a small pot that has a drain hole in the bottom
- Fill the container with potting soil.
Leave enough room from the top of the container to
cover seeds with 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch of soil.
(Purchase, a clean, fresh potting soil or mixture.
Do not use yard or garden dirt because it may
contain bugs, pesticides or chemicals.) Most home
improvement stores or your local nursery will have a
suitable organic soil or growing blend.
- Add water to completely moisten soil.
About 1/3 to 1/2 cup for a 4 inch pot.
Drain excess water. Place in a warm, dark
location. NEVER add pesticides or fertilizers.
- Once growth is visible, place container in a
sunny location. Always make sure that soil is
moist..
- When sprouts are about 4 inches in height, place
in a location accessible to your cat. Sprouts
appear in about 4 days.
- Sprouts will naturally mature and wither in
about 14 to 20 days and can be added to your compost
pile to biodegrade.
- Always keep a fresh pot growing. We
suggest starting a new pot every week so that when
one pot matures and dies a fresh pot is always ready
for your cat's enjoyment.

These little comforters (Catgans) are a must have! Seriously!
1st discovered by Kiki Kitty. Kiki is the ranch indoor kitty. One day while I was getting ready to shoot photos for Llama Fiber fashions for humans, I discovered Kiki sleeping cozily on some of the winter scarves and hats. I literally could not remove him.
Each time I took him off , he would return. He was becoming a real pest. The only way that I was going to be able to get my job done was to give Kiki one of the scarves. So you see he
